Arkansas Tax Credit Vehicle Bill of Sale Form

This bill of sale can only be used in the boundaries of the State of Arkansas and is not considered legal in any other state for the sole purpose of buying a vehicle which is claimed as a tax credit towards the purchase of a replacement vehicle.  The form after being filled and signed needs to be submitted to the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration Revenue Division.

The instructions and steps given below shall guide you in filling the form correctly.

  • In the first section, begin with entering the full legal name (first, middle, last) of the buyer or purchaser, complete address with the zip code and the phone number. Followed with that the details of the seller also needs to be mentioned including the full legal name (first, middle, last), complete address with the zip code and the phone number.
  • In the next segment, a complete description of the vehicle needs to be given including the year of vehicle, make of vehicle, model of vehicle sold, vehicle identification number (VIN #), Odometer reading, date vehicle was sold & the price at which the vehicle was sold.
  • Lastly, an acknowledgement stating that “: I (we) hereby swear and affirm that the above information is true and correct. I understand that any attempt to evade or defeat the payment of the proper amount of tax on the aforementioned vehicle by making any false statement is a felony under Arkansas law punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both,” needs to be signed by the purchaser along with the date. Followed by an acknowledgement stating “I (we) hereby swear and affirm that the above information is true and correct, and that said vehicle was owned and sold by me, and that I am entitled to a reduction in the taxable price of a newly acquired vehicle under the provisions of Act 1232 of 1997, as amended. I understand that any attempt to evade or defeat the payment of the proper amount of tax by making any false statement is a felony under Arkansas law punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both,” needs to be signed by the seller along with the date.
